Water appears cloudy or milky despite filtration

Safety first: Do not use the spa if water is visibly contaminated or has strong odor.

• 1. Increase filtration:
  • Run the filter pump for longer periods (e.g., 8–12 hours per day).
• 2. Clean/replace filter:
  • Rinse the Intex filter cartridge daily in cloudy conditions.
  • Replace if older than recommended.
• 3. Balance water:
  • Test pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer (chlorine/bromine) using test strips.
  • Adjust with appropriate chemicals to reach recommended ranges.
• 4. Shock treatment:
  • Use a spa shock product compatible with Intex spas to oxidize contaminants.
• If cloudiness persists: Drain, clean the spa surfaces, replace filter, and refill with fresh water.
