Possible Causes
Tripped pump thermal overload, Seized pump motor, Loose pump wiring at control board, Failed pump relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before touching the pump or wiring.
- Check for jams: Inspect the pump 1 wet end for debris by removing the pump union and looking into the impeller area.
- Feel motor: Carefully touch the pump motor housing (once cooled). If extremely hot, the thermal overload may have tripped; allow it to cool fully.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that the pump 1 wires are tight at both the motor and the control board terminals.
- Test operation: Restore power and briefly press JETS 1. If the pump hums but does not turn, the motor is likely seized and needs replacement.
If the pump tests good but P1 error persists, the control board pump relay may be defective.
