Possible Causes
Open or shorted high-limit sensor, Loose sensor on heater tube, Corroded connector at control board, Damaged sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the equipment bay.
- Locate high-limit sensor: It is typically mounted directly on the heater tube or in a separate well near the heater.
- Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly clamped to the heater tube and has good thermal contact. Re-secure any loose clamp or bracket.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor cable to the control box and check for damage or rodent chewing. Clean any corrosion from the connector.
- Reset power: Restore power and see if the error clears. If SN2 returns immediately, the sensor is likely defective.
Replace the high-limit sensor with a Jacuzzi-compatible part. If the error persists with a new sensor, the control board sensor circuit may need replacement.
