Possible Causes
Air trapped in pump after refill, Closed slice valves, Severely clogged filter, Pump impeller broken or detached
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before loosening any unions.
- Verify valves: Ensure all slice valves around the pump are fully open.
- Remove filter: Take out the filter cartridge and try again to rule out restriction.
- Bleed pump: Loosen the pump union on the discharge side until air escapes and water begins to seep, then retighten.
- Prime via hose: Place a garden hose into the filter well and run water to force water into the pump and plumbing.
If the pump still does not move water, the impeller may be damaged and the pump should be disassembled and repaired or replaced.
