Possible Causes
Pressure switch stuck open or closed, Incorrect pressure switch adjustment, Faulty pressure switch, Wiring issue between switch and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working on the pressure switch or wiring.
- Inspect pressure switch: Locate the pressure switch on the heater manifold. Check that the wires are firmly attached and not corroded.
- Check for proper flow: Ensure the circulation pump is running and the filter is clean. A pressure switch cannot close without adequate flow.
- Test switch continuity: With power off and using a multimeter, check continuity across the switch terminals with the pump running (temporarily power on for the test if you are qualified). The switch should close with flow.
- Replace switch if faulty: If the switch does not change state with flow, replace it with a compatible LA Spas pressure switch and adjust per manufacturer instructions.
