Possible Causes
Loose pump union, Cracked heater manifold, Failed pump shaft seal, Split PVC plumbing or fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and do not run the spa with a known leak; components can be damaged.
- Locate source: Dry the equipment bay and run the spa briefly while observing. Look for drips at pump unions, heater unions, and glued fittings.
- Tighten unions: Hand‑tighten any loose unions on pumps and heater. Do not use tools that can crack the fittings.
- Inspect pump seal: If water appears at the bottom of a pump motor, the shaft seal may be leaking and the pump should be rebuilt or replaced.
- Repair plumbing: For cracked PVC, drain below the leak and replace the affected fittings with new PVC and proper spa‑rated cement.
