Possible Causes
Low water level detected by pressure switch, Blocked pressure tube or port, Faulty pressure switch inside pump unit, Airlock causing incorrect pressure reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the spa before adjusting water level or disconnecting hoses.
- 1. Confirm water level: Ensure the spa is filled to the correct line. Top up if needed.
- 2. Remove airlocks: Loosen the filter housing cap briefly to release trapped air, then retighten. Run the filter function and check for strong flow.
- 3. Inspect for blockages: Remove the pump from the liner using stopper caps and check the inlet/outlet ports for debris. Clear any obstructions.
- 4. Restart the system: Reconnect the pump, ensure all connections are tight, then plug in and reset the RCD. Try filter and then heater.
- If E09 continues: The internal pressure switch or its sensing tube may be faulty. These are internal components; contact Lay‑Z‑Spa support for pump/heater unit repair or replacement.
