Possible Causes
Loose coupling nuts, Damaged or missing O-rings, Cracked hose adapter, Debris on sealing surfaces
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the spa before tightening any connections. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- 1. Isolate water: Use the supplied stopper caps inside the spa to block the inlet and outlet ports, then remove the pump unit.
- 2. Inspect O-rings: Check the large O-rings on the hose adapters for cracks, flattening, or missing sections. Replace with genuine Lay‑Z‑Spa O-rings if damaged.
- 3. Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the mating surfaces on the liner ports and hose adapters to remove sand, grit, or scale.
- 4. Reattach and hand-tighten: Refit the pump, ensuring the adapters are aligned correctly. Hand-tighten the coupling nuts firmly but do not use tools that could crack the plastic.
- 5. Remove stopper caps and test: Restore water flow and check for leaks while the pump is running.
- If leaking continues: The liner port or adapter may be cracked and require replacement.
