Possible Causes
Partially blocked suction or return fittings, Dirty filter cartridge, Air trapped in plumbing, Weak or failing main pump or circulation pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the GFCI breaker before opening the equipment bay.
- Inspect suction and return fittings: Check inside the spa for debris blocking the suction covers or jet returns. Remove any obstructions.
- Clean filter: Remove and rinse the Lifesmart filter thoroughly. Replace if it is old or damaged.
- Bleed air: Loosen pump unions slightly to release trapped air, then retighten once water flows steadily.
- Check pump performance: Restore power and run the pump on high speed. If flow is weak or the pump is noisy, the impeller may be clogged or the pump motor failing.
- If dY persists: Replace the circulation or main pump as needed and inspect the heater for damage.
