Possible Causes
Failed pressure/flow switch, Incorrect pressure switch adjustment, Loose wiring to pressure switch, Blocked plumbing causing abnormal pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before working on the pressure switch or plumbing.
- Locate the pressure/flow switch: On Lifesmart Spas, this is usually mounted on or near the heater manifold with two wires attached.
- Check wiring: Ensure both wires are firmly connected and not corroded or damaged.
- Inspect plumbing: Look for kinks in hoses or obvious blockages near the heater and pump.
- Test with good flow: Clean the filter and run the pump on high speed. If PRR remains, the switch may be stuck or out of calibration.
- Replace the switch: Depressurize the system by turning off power and loosening unions. Remove the old pressure switch and install a new OEM-compatible Lifesmart pressure/flow switch, using thread sealant as required.
