Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between topside control and control pack, Moisture in control panel, Faulty control board firmware, Damaged sensor harness causing data errors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the GFCI breaker before removing the topside panel or opening the control pack.
- Inspect topside control panel: Check for cracks or water intrusion on the Lifesmart topside keypad. Dry any visible moisture.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the control pack cover and gently unplug/replug the ribbon cable from the topside panel to the main board. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Inspect sensor harnesses: Verify that all sensor plugs are firmly connected and that no wires are damaged.
- Power cycle: Restore power and observe if the SE code clears. If the error returns, the control board or topside panel may be failing.
- Replacement: Replace the topside control panel first if it shows signs of water damage. If that does not resolve the issue, the main control board may need replacement by a technician.
