Possible Causes
Dirty or clogged filter cartridge, Air lock in plumbing, Partially closed slice valves near pump, Debris in pump impeller or jet bodies
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before removing jets or opening pump unions.
- Clean or remove filter: Take out the Lifesmart filter and rinse thoroughly. Test jet strength with the filter removed.
- Open valves fully: Ensure all slice valves or shutoff valves in the equipment bay are fully open.
- Bleed air: Loosen pump unions slightly to release trapped air, then retighten.
- Inspect jets: Remove individual jet inserts (if removable) and check for debris or calcium buildup. Clean and reinstall.
- Check pump impeller: Remove the pump wet end cover and inspect the impeller for debris. Clean and reassemble.
