Possible Causes

Built-in pump timeout feature, Pump motor overheating and tripping thermal protector, Restricted flow causing pump to run hot, High ambient temperature in equipment bay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: Many Lifesmart Spas automatically turn jets off after 15–30 minutes to prevent overheating.

  • Check user manual: Confirm the normal jet timeout duration for your model.
  • Monitor pump temperature: If the pump is too hot to touch when it shuts off, improve ventilation and check for flow restrictions.
  • Clean filter and check valves: Ensure good water flow to reduce pump load.
  • Allow cooling: Let the pump cool for 30–60 minutes before restarting. Repeated overheating may indicate a failing motor.
