Possible Causes
No power to control pack, Loose ribbon cable between topside and control board, Failed topside control panel, Blown fuse on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before opening the equipment bay.
- Verify power: Check that the GFCI breaker is ON and not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect fuses: Remove the control pack cover and visually inspect any low-voltage fuses on the Marquis/ Balboa board. Replace only with identical type and rating if blown.
- Check topside cable: Ensure the ribbon cable from the topside control is firmly plugged into the control board and not damaged or pinched.
- Test with replacement panel (if available): If you have access to a known-good Marquis-compatible topside, plug it in to see if the display returns.
If power and fuses are good but the display remains blank, the control board may have failed and should be evaluated by a technician.
