Possible Causes
Water temperature near freezing, Outdoor ambient temperature very low, Sensor detecting cold conditions in equipment bay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Do not shut off power during freezing conditions; the spa uses ICE mode to protect itself.
- Verify circulation: Confirm that pumps are running and water is moving through all jets and features. Stagnant water can freeze quickly.
- Check cover and cabinet: Ensure the cover is closed and the equipment bay door is properly installed to retain heat.
- Supplemental protection: In extreme cold, you may add a small, thermostatically controlled space heater in the equipment bay (away from wiring and plastics) as a temporary measure.
- Monitor temperature: Once temperatures rise, ICE should clear automatically. If it does not, verify sensor accuracy.
