Possible Causes
Air lock in jet pump, Closed or partially closed slice valves, Clogged suction fittings or skimmer, Broken or stripped pump impeller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before opening unions.
- Check water level: Ensure water is above all jets and suction fittings.
- Open valves: Verify that all slice valves around the jet pump are fully open.
- Bleed air from pump: Loosen the union on the pump discharge slightly until air escapes and water begins to flow, then retighten. Repeat on the suction side if needed.
- Inspect for debris: Check the skimmer basket and suction covers for blockages. Remove any debris.
- Check diverter valves: If your Marquis spa has diverter valves, ensure they are not directing flow away from the jets you are testing.
- Impeller check (advanced): If the motor runs but there is still no flow, the impeller may be broken or stripped from the shaft. The wet end will need to be opened and inspected.
