How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker.
- Check for air lock: Loosen the union on the circulation pump discharge until air escapes and water flows, then retighten.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the circulation pump plug is firmly connected to the control pack and that the cord is undamaged.
- Check fuses: Look for a dedicated circulation pump fuse on the control board and replace if blown with the same rating.
- Test pump: Restore power and feel the pump housing. If it is silent and cool, it is likely not receiving power or is failed. If it hums but does not move water, the impeller may be jammed or the motor seized.
Replace the circulation pump with a Marquis-specified model if it does not run after air bleeding and fuse checks.
