Keypad / Topside Control Failure
Topside control buttons are unresponsive or some buttons work intermittently.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before disconnecting the topside.
- Inspect overlay: Look for cracks, bubbles, or water under the keypad overlay. Moisture can short the contacts.
- Check cable connection: Remove the equipment bay door and verify the ribbon cable from the topside is fully seated on the control board and free of corrosion.
- Drying attempt: If moisture is present, gently dry the area and allow the panel to sit in a warm, dry environment for 24 hours, then retest.
- Replace panel: If buttons remain intermittent or dead, replace the topside control with a Marquis-compatible unit.
