Possible Causes
Seized Pump 1 motor, Shorted pump wiring, Tripped internal overload, Failed pump relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before touching the pump or wiring.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the pump access and ensure there are no foreign objects in the wet end (impeller area). Spin the motor shaft by hand (with power off) to confirm it turns freely.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that Pump 1 wires are secure at both the motor and control pack, with no signs of burning or melting.
- Test pump operation: Restore power and briefly activate Pump 1. If it hums but does not start, the Master Spas jet pump may be seized and require replacement.
- Check for relay failure: If the pump never receives power, the control board relay may be faulty. This typically requires control pack repair or replacement by a technician.
