Incorrect sensor type installed, Loose sensor connector, Damaged sensor cable, Control pack firmware mismatch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before unplugging sensors.
- Identify sensors: Locate all temperature and high-limit sensors connected to the control pack.
- Check connections: Unplug and firmly reseat each sensor connector. Inspect for corrosion or bent pins.
- Verify correct parts: Ensure any recently replaced sensors are the correct Master Spas / Balboa-compatible 10k NTC sensors for your model.
- Test resistance: Use a multimeter to confirm each sensor reads within expected range for the current water temperature.
- Replace faulty sensor: If any sensor reads open, shorted, or far off spec, replace it.
- Firmware/configuration: If SE persists with known-good sensors, the control pack may have a configuration or firmware issue that requires professional service or replacement.
