Master Spas
Hydraulic Flow Restriction / Air Control or Diverter Misconfiguration
Jets are weak or some seats have very little water pressure even though pumps run
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dirty filters, Partially closed diverter valves, Air control valves closed, Debris in jet bodies, Pump impeller partially blocked
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing jets or opening pump unions.
- Clean filters: Remove and clean or replace all filter cartridges.
- Adjust diverter valves: Rotate the large diverter knobs on the spa top to direct flow to the desired seats. Ensure they are not stuck between positions.
- Open air controls: Turn the small air control knobs fully open to allow air mixing, which can increase perceived jet strength.
- Inspect jets: Remove individual jet inserts by turning counterclockwise and pulling out. Check for debris or calcium buildup and clean thoroughly.
- Check pump impeller: If one entire pump zone is weak, remove the pump wet end and inspect the impeller for debris or broken vanes. Replace the pump wet end if damaged.
