Loud grinding, squealing, or rattling noise from pump area when jets are on

Safety first: Turn off power before touching the pump or removing any covers.

• Check water level and air locks: Ensure proper water level and bleed any air from the pump unions.
• Inspect for debris: Remove the pump wet end cover and inspect the impeller for stones, plastic, or other debris. Clean thoroughly.
• Spin motor shaft: With the wet end removed, spin the motor shaft by hand. Roughness or grinding indicates bad bearings.
• Replace wet end or pump: If the impeller or volute is damaged, replace the pump wet end. If bearings are noisy, replace the entire pump motor assembly or have it rebuilt.
