Cold Water Protection / Freeze Protection Active
Display shows COL and heater does not run; spa is in cold protection mode

Possible Causes
Water temperature detected below cold threshold, Spa recently refilled with very cold water, Sensor reading low due to ambient cold conditions
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: COL is typically a status, not a failure, indicating the spa is protecting itself from freezing.
- Verify water temperature: Use a separate thermometer to confirm actual water temperature.
- Allow spa to warm: Keep the cover closed and allow the circulation pump to run. The system will automatically exit COL mode once water temperature rises above the threshold.
- Check sensors if reading is incorrect: If the water is not actually cold but COL is displayed, inspect the temperature sensor connections at the control pack for corrosion or loose plugs.
- Ensure spa is not in an unheated environment: If the spa is outdoors in freezing weather, maintain power at all times so freeze protection can operate.
