How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power at the breaker.
- Inspect Pump 2: Access the equipment bay and locate Pump 2. Check for leaks, corrosion, or physical damage.
- Check unions and valves: Ensure Pump 2 unions are tight and slice valves are fully open.
- Verify wiring: Confirm Pump 2 is plugged into the correct receptacle on the control pack and that the cord is not damaged.
- Test briefly: Restore power and press the Pump 2 button. If it hums but does not start, the capacitor or motor may be failing.
- Replace Pump 2 if necessary: With power OFF, close valves, disconnect plumbing and wiring, and install a new OEM Michael Phelps/ Master Spas-compatible jet pump.
