Restricted Water Flow in Jet Plumbing
Jets are weak or some seats have very low water pressure
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dirty or partially clogged filter cartridges, Airlock in jet pump, Diverter valves not positioned correctly, Debris in jet bodies or suction fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
- Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly rinse all Michael Phelps Spas filter cartridges. Replace if they are old or collapsed.
- Check diverter valves: Rotate any large top-side diverter valves slowly through all positions to direct flow to different seat groups. Ensure they are not stuck between positions.
- Bleed air from pump: With power OFF, loosen the jet pump union until air escapes and water seeps out, then retighten.
- Inspect jets: Remove individual jet inserts (where possible) and check for debris such as sand, leaves, or scale. Clean and reinstall.
- Verify all slice valves are open: Ensure gate valves around the pump and heater are fully raised.
