Aging or drifting temperature sensor, Poor water circulation around heater, Sensor not fully seated in heater manifold, Control board calibration drift
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
- Verify with external thermometer: Compare displayed temperature to an accurate thermometer placed in the spa water.
- Check circulation: Ensure pumps and circulation system are moving water through the heater consistently. Clean filters and bleed air if needed.
- Inspect sensor seating: Confirm the temperature sensor is fully threaded into the heater manifold and making good contact.
- Replace sensor if inaccurate: If the sensor reading is consistently off by more than a few degrees, replace it with an OEM Michael Phelps/ Master Spas-compatible temperature sensor.
