Possible Causes
Shorted blower triac on PCB, Damaged blower driver circuit, Incorrect feedback from blower thermal protector, Internal short in blower motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the motor/control unit.
- Check blower operation: Attempt to start the bubble function. If F5 appears immediately and the blower does not even hum, suspect control circuitry.
- Inspect wiring: Open the control box and trace the wires from the blower motor to the PCB. Ensure all connectors are secure and there are no burnt wires.
- Smell test: If there is a strong burnt electronics smell near the PCB, the triac or driver components may have failed.
- Isolate blower: For advanced users, disconnect the blower from the PCB and test its resistance. A dead short or open circuit indicates a bad blower motor.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the MSPA air blower motor if it is shorted. If the blower tests good, replace the MSPA main control PCB containing the blower driver.
