Possible Causes
Loose hose clamp on MSPA heater or pump union, Cracked plastic union or adapter, Perished O-ring or gasket, Freeze damage to plumbing fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the spa before working near water and electrical components.
- Locate leak source: Dry the area and run the spa briefly to observe where water emerges. Focus on hose joints, unions, and the base of the motor unit.
- Tighten clamps: Use a screwdriver to snug hose clamps on heater and pump connections. Do not overtighten to the point of cracking plastic fittings.
- Replace seals: If water seeps from a union, disassemble it, inspect the O‑ring, and replace with a new MSPA union O‑ring. Lubricate lightly with silicone grease before reassembly.
- Replace cracked parts: Any cracked adapters or manifolds must be replaced with MSPA‑compatible plumbing fittings.
