Possible Causes
Burned-out heater element inside MSPA heater tube, Loose heater terminal connection, Tripped internal thermal fuse, Broken wire in heater harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the spa and allow water to cool before accessing the heater.
- Confirm no heat: Run the spa with heater enabled for 30–60 minutes. If the temperature does not rise at all, suspect the heater.
- Inspect wiring: Open the control unit and check the heater terminals for loose screws or burnt connectors. Tighten or replace connectors as needed.
- Measure resistance: With power disconnected, disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance across the heater element. An open circuit (OL) indicates a failed element.
- Replace heater assembly: Install a new MSPA heater assembly. Ensure all seals and O‑rings are correctly seated and hose clamps are tight to prevent leaks.
