Possible Causes
Air lock in heater, Very low water level, Blocked suction or filter, Circulation pump not moving water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before bleeding plumbing or opening unions.
- Step 1 – Check water level: Ensure the spa is filled to the recommended level, above all jets and suction fittings.
- Step 2 – Clean filter: Remove and thoroughly rinse the Nordic filter cartridge. For testing, run the spa briefly without the filter to see if dr clears.
- Step 3 – Bleed air from pump and heater: Loosen the unions on the circulation or main pump and on the heater tube until air escapes and water begins to seep out, then retighten. Make sure slice valves are fully open.
- Step 4 – Verify pump prime: Restore power and run the pump on low speed. Confirm strong water flow from jets and through the heater return.
- Step 5 – Reset error: Turn power off and back on to clear dr. If it returns, recheck for air locks or pump issues.
- Step 6 – Inspect circulation pump: If the pump hums but does not move water, it may be seized and require replacement.
