Possible Causes
Spa just powered on, Air in plumbing, User did not exit priming mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure all jets are open and water level is correct before running pumps.
- Step 1 – Understand priming mode: After power-up, many Nordic control packs enter a priming mode (Prr/PR) to allow air to be purged from pumps and plumbing. This is normal.
- Step 2 – Purge air: Press the JETS button to run each pump on low and high speed for 30–60 seconds, turning them on and off several times to clear air.
- Step 3 – Exit priming mode: After a few minutes, the control will automatically exit priming mode and begin normal heating. Some models require pressing a specific button to exit; refer to your Nordic manual.
- Step 4 – Check for persistent air lock: If Prr does not clear and pumps are noisy or not moving water, bleed air from pump unions as described in other flow-related fixes.
