How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately turn off power at the GFCI breaker. Do not continue to operate the spa until the source is identified.
- Step 1 – Visual inspection: Open the equipment bay and look for discolored, melted, or charred components, especially around the heater terminals, pump connections, and control board.
- Step 2 – Check terminal tightness: With power off, gently check that all screw terminals on the heater and pumps are snug. Loose connections can overheat.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Look for brittle or melted insulation on wires. Replace any damaged wiring harnesses with Nordic-compatible parts.
- Step 4 – Evaluate pumps: Spin pump shafts by hand with power off. A stiff or noisy motor may be overheating and should be replaced.
