Possible Causes
Low supply voltage, Internal control board fault, Corrupted firmware, Moisture inside control pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the main breaker before opening the control pack enclosure.
- Check power supply: Verify the spa’s GFCI breaker is correctly sized and that line voltage at the control pack matches the spa’s rating (usually 230–240 V for European Passion Spas models).
- Inspect for moisture: Open the control pack housing and look for signs of water ingress, condensation, or burned components. If moisture is present, allow the board to dry completely and address the source of the leak.
- Power reset: After inspection, close the pack, restore power, and observe if the error clears.
- Disconnect peripherals: For diagnosis, a technician may disconnect non-essential components (ozone, audio, lighting) to see if one accessory is causing the error.
If ER persists, the control pack may need repair or replacement with a Passion Spas-compatible unit.
