Possible Causes
Seized Pump 1 motor, Tripped thermal overload, Loose pump wiring, Failed pump relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before touching the pump or wiring.
- Check for air lock: After a refill, Pump 1 may be air-locked. Loosen the pump union slightly to release air, then retighten and retry.
- Inspect wiring: Confirm Pump 1’s power cable is firmly connected at the control pack and shows no signs of burning or damage.
- Spin the motor shaft: With power OFF, remove the rear motor cover and try to rotate the shaft with a screwdriver. If it is seized, the pump may need replacement.
- Thermal reset: Allow the pump to cool for 30–60 minutes if it has overheated, then retry.
If P1 persists and the pump is mechanically free, the control pack’s pump relay may be defective and should be tested by a technician.
