Possible Causes
Faulty pressure switch on heater, Incorrect pump speed, Blocked filter, Wiring issue to pressure switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before working in the equipment bay.
- Clean filters: Remove and rinse filter cartridges thoroughly. Try running the spa without filters to see if PSO clears.
- Inspect pressure switch: Locate the pressure switch on the heater manifold. Check that its wires are secure and not corroded.
- Adjust or replace switch: Some pressure switches are adjustable; however, improper adjustment can defeat safety. If PSO persists, replace the switch with a compatible Passion Spas pressure switch rather than adjusting it.
- Verify pump speed: Ensure the correct pump (usually Pump 1 low speed) is running when the heater is called for. If the pump is not running, the control pack or pump may be at fault.
If PSO remains after switch replacement and flow verification, the control pack input may be defective and should be checked by a technician.
