Possible Causes
Airlock in heater plumbing, Severely restricted flow from clogged filter, Closed slice valve before heater, Recently drained and refilled spa not fully purged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before loosening any unions or fittings.
- Confirm water level: Ensure the spa is filled to the recommended level per RivieraPool manual.
- Open valves: Verify all slice valves around the pump and heater are fully open.
- Bleed air from heater: With power OFF, slightly loosen the union at the heater inlet until water flows steadily, then retighten. This purges trapped air.
- Clean filter: Remove and rinse the RivieraPool filter cartridge. Try running the spa briefly without the filter to see if the error clears.
- Reset system: Turn power back on and run the circulation pump. If dr persists, the heater may have overheated and damaged the element.
- Inspect heater: If you smell burnt odor or see discoloration on the heater tube, the RivieraPool heater assembly may need replacement.
