Possible Causes
Failed heater element, Burned heater terminals, Faulty heater relay on control board, Loose heater wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and verify with a meter before touching heater wiring.
- Visual inspection: Remove the equipment panel and inspect the RivieraPool heater terminals and wiring for burns or loose connections. Tighten as needed.
- Continuity test: With power OFF and wires removed from the heater, measure resistance across the heater terminals. A very high or infinite reading indicates a failed element.
- Check relay operation: With the spa calling for heat, listen for a click from the control board. If no click and no voltage to the heater, the heater relay may be faulty.
- Replace components: Replace the RivieraPool heater assembly if the element is open or damaged. If the heater tests good but does not receive power, the control board likely needs replacement.
