Possible Causes
Temperature rising too quickly near heater, Poor circulation, Partially blocked heater manifold, Sensor not fully seated
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power if you suspect overheating or smell burning.
- Clean filters and check flow: Ensure RivieraPool filters are clean and that all jets and valves are open to allow proper flow.
- Inspect heater manifold: Look for kinks or restrictions in plumbing near the heater. Check for scale buildup if you have hard water.
- Reseat sensors: Make sure both temperature and high-limit sensors are fully inserted into their wells and making good thermal contact.
- Monitor heating: After power-cycling, observe how quickly the temperature rises. If OHt appears repeatedly, consider replacing the sensors and inspecting the heater for internal restrictions.
