Possible Causes
Failed pump 1 motor, Tripped thermal overload in pump, Loose wiring at pump 1 terminals, Faulty pump relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working on pumps or wiring.
- Check for jams: With power OFF, try to rotate the RivieraPool pump 1 motor shaft (at the rear fan or coupling) by hand. If seized, the pump may be mechanically failed.
- Inspect wiring: Verify tight, clean connections at the pump 1 terminals on the control board and at the pump junction box.
- Thermal overload: If the pump is hot to the touch, allow it to cool for 30–60 minutes, then try again. Repeated overload trips indicate a failing motor.
- Replace pump or board: If pump 1 hums but will not start, replace the RivieraPool pump 1 assembly. If the pump tests good but never receives power, the control board pump relay may need replacement.
