Possible Causes
Pressure switch stuck closed, Incorrectly adjusted switch, Shorted switch wiring, Control board misreading switch state
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before testing or replacing the switch.
- Visual inspection: Locate the RivieraPool pressure switch and inspect wiring for shorts or melted insulation.
- Continuity test (advanced): With power OFF and wires removed from the switch, use a multimeter to check continuity. The switch should be open (no continuity) when the pump is off. If it reads closed, the switch is stuck.
- Replace switch: Install a new RivieraPool pressure switch if it is stuck closed. Use appropriate thread sealant and do not overtighten.
- Control board check: If a new switch does not resolve PSH, the RivieraPool control board input circuit may be faulty and require professional diagnosis.
