Possible Causes

Loose pump union, Cracked heater union or manifold, Failed pump shaft seal, Cracked PVC plumbing fitting

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and do not run the spa with a known leak; this can damage pumps and heater.

  • Locate the leak: Remove the equipment access panel and use a flashlight to identify the source. Look around the RivieraPool pump unions, heater unions, and valves.
  • Tighten unions: Hand-tighten any loose pump or heater unions. Do not overtighten, as this can crack fittings.
  • Seal replacement: If water drips from under the pump motor, the RivieraPool pump shaft seal is likely failed. Replace the seal kit or the entire pump assembly.
  • Repair cracked fittings: For cracked PVC elbows or manifolds, drain the spa below the leak level and replace the damaged fitting using PVC primer and cement.
  • Retest: Refill and run the spa while monitoring for further leaks.
