Possible Causes
Loose coupling nuts between spa liner and pump/heater, Flattened or cracked O-rings, Cross-threaded hose fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the spa before tightening or loosening any hoses. Wet surfaces can be slippery.
- Identify leak point: Dry the area and observe where water appears—at the inlet, outlet, or drain connection.
- Tighten couplings: Hand-tighten the large plastic nuts connecting the pump/heater to the spa liner. Do not use tools that could crack the fittings.
- Inspect O-rings: If tightening does not stop the leak, drain water below the fittings, disconnect hoses, and inspect O-rings for cracks or flattening. Replace with SaluSpa-compatible O-rings.
- Reassemble carefully: Ensure O-rings are seated properly and threads are aligned before tightening.
- Refill and test: Refill the spa above the fittings and check for leaks over 30–60 minutes.
Warning: Do not use petroleum-based lubricants on O-rings; use only silicone-based lubricant if needed.
