Possible Causes
Loose drain cap, Damaged drain plug O-ring, Cracked drain fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the spa before working near the drain. Water on the ground can be slippery.
- Check drain cap: Ensure the external drain cap is fully tightened.
- Inspect O-ring: Remove the cap and inspect the O-ring for cracks or flattening. Replace if damaged.
- Internal plug: Some models have an internal drain plug inside the spa. Verify it is fully seated.
- Seal minor cracks: For small cracks around the drain fitting, a PVC repair patch or compatible sealant may be used on the liner side.
- Replace drain assembly: If the drain body is severely cracked, replace the SaluSpa drain valve assembly.
Warning: Do not overtighten plastic drain caps; this can crack the fitting.
