Possible Causes
Air lock in heater or circulation line, Very low water level, Closed slice valve near heater, Severely clogged filter restricting flow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before loosening any unions or working on plumbing.
- Check water level: Fill the spa to the recommended level above all suction fittings.
- Open valves: Verify that all slice/gate valves around the pump and heater are fully open.
- Clean/remove filter: Remove the filter cartridge and clean thoroughly. Test operation briefly with the filter removed to see if dr clears.
- Bleed heater and pump: Loosen the unions on the heater and pump discharge slightly to release trapped air, then retighten.
- Reset power: Turn the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then ON and observe if the code clears.
If dr persists, the circulation pump may be weak or failing and should be tested and possibly replaced.
