Possible Causes

One sensor reading out of range, Temperature and high-limit sensors not agreeing, Incorrect replacement sensor installed, Control board sensor circuit fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power before inspecting sensors.

  • Inspect both sensors: Check that both the temperature and high-limit sensors are properly seated in the heater tube and that their cables are intact.
  • Verify part compatibility: If a sensor was recently replaced, confirm it is the correct Saratoga Spas-compatible part number and that both sensors are of the same type.
  • Reseat connectors: Unplug and replug both sensor connectors on the control board to ensure good contact.
  • Check water temperature: Use a separate thermometer to verify actual water temperature. If the display is far off, one sensor is likely defective.

Replace the suspect sensor(s). If SNS persists with new sensors, the control pack may have a sensor circuit failure and should be evaluated by a spa technician.
