Possible Causes
Failed ozone generator, Clogged ozone injector (Mazzei) or check valve, Kinked ozone tubing, Ozone output disabled in programming
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before handling ozone tubing or components.
- Check for bubbles: With the spa running in a filtration cycle, look for fine bubbles at the ozone injection point. Lack of bubbles suggests no ozone flow.
- Inspect tubing: Follow the small ozone tube from the generator to the injector. Ensure there are no kinks or breaks and that the check valve is oriented correctly.
- Clean or replace injector: If the injector is clogged with scale, it may need to be soaked in a descaling solution or replaced.
- Replace ozone unit: Ozone generators typically last 3–5 years. If there is no output and power is present, replace with a Saratoga-compatible ozone generator.
