Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before unplugging or plugging any control cables.
Steps to troubleshoot blank/dash display:
- Inspect topside cable: Open the equipment bay and locate the ribbon or data cable from the topside to the control pack. Ensure it is fully seated and not pinched or cut.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the back of the topside panel for condensation or water damage. If present, the panel may need replacement and the area should be dried.
- Test with replacement panel (if available): If you have access to a compatible Strong Spas topside, connect it temporarily to see if the display returns.
When to call a technician: If cabling is intact and a new topside does not restore communication, the control pack’s display driver may be faulty and require replacement.
