Possible Causes

Spa is in panel lock mode, Child lock feature enabled, Stuck keypad buttons

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for this issue.

Steps to clear LOC:

  • Unlock via keypad: On most Strong Spas topsides, press and hold the designated lock/unlock button or a combination (often TEMP UP + TEMP DOWN) for 3–5 seconds until LOC disappears. Refer to your specific model manual.
  • Power cycle: If the lock will not clear, turn the GFCI breaker OFF for 30 seconds and back ON, then try the unlock sequence again.
  • Inspect keypad: Check for stuck or damaged buttons, or moisture under the overlay. If buttons feel mushy or unresponsive, the topside control may need replacement.

When to call a technician: If LOC will not clear and the keypad appears physically damaged, a replacement topside control should be installed by a professional.
