How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the control box.
- 1. Inspect sensor connections: Open the control box and locate the temperature sensor connector(s) on the Sundance board. Ensure they are firmly seated.
- 2. Check sensor cable: Follow the cable from the heater tube or sensor well to the board. Look for cuts, pinch points, or rodent damage.
- 3. Visual sensor check: If the sensor body is cracked or corroded, replace it with a Sundance-compatible thermistor.
- 4. Power cycle: After reseating or replacing the sensor, restore power and see if the display shows a valid temperature.
