Possible Causes
Severely restricted filter, Failing circulation pump, Obstruction in heater or plumbing, Flow switch misadjusted or failing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before disassembling any plumbing.
- 1. Deep clean filter: Soak the filter overnight in a spa filter cleaner solution, then rinse thoroughly. Replace if older than 1 year or if pleats are deformed.
- 2. Run spa without filter test: With power OFF, remove the filter and then power ON for a short test. If LF clears, the filter is the primary issue. Do not operate long-term without a filter.
- 3. Inspect circulation pump performance: Check for unusual noise, overheating, or intermittent operation. A weak pump may need replacement.
- 4. Check for plumbing obstructions: Look for kinks in flexible hoses, partially closed valves, or debris in the pump suction area.
- When to call a technician: Persistent LF usually indicates a failing circulation pump or internal blockage that should be addressed by a spa professional.
